3. Did the Issue Start After a Change or Update?

If your phones started having problems after a recent change, that might be the cause.

Think back — did you recently:

  • Switch to a new internet connection or change your network setup?

  • Install a new modem, router, firewall, or switch?

  • Perform a firmware update on any of these devices?

If yes, these changes may be affecting your VoIP service.

 

What to do:

Try to isolate the issue by simplifying your setup:

  • Disconnect or switch off added devices.

  • Undo recent network changes if possible.

  • Test with a basic setup first to see if the problem disappears.

This helps identify exactly where the problem started.
