What is a Dated & Double signed proof of ID?

Why We May Ask for a Double-Signed ID Copy

To keep your account and services secure, we may ask for a dated, double-signed copy of your ID when you request a service-affecting or terminating change (like ending a number or account).

Why Is This Needed?

Once we start a service-affecting process, it can’t be stopped or reversed. So we need to make sure the request really comes from the right person, not from someone pretending to be you or trying to harm your business.

What Kind of ID Is Required?

We need a dated and double-signed copy of one of the following of the authorised company representative:

  • A passport (include both the picture/info page and signed page if separate)

  • A national ID card (both front and back)

  • A photocard driver’s licence

  • Other accepted forms are listed below*

What Does “Double-Signed” Mean?

  1. Sign and date a blank sheet of paper using a different-coloured pen than the one used on your ID (you can write the name 'Voyced' on it as well as an extra indicator).

  2. Place your ID next to or on that paper and scan or take a photo of both together.

  3. Send it to us securely.

This shows that:

  • The ID is real

  • The person in the ID is present and authorised

  • The scan/photo wasn’t stolen or reused without permission

How to Send It

We recommend you use the secure and unique upload link we’ll provide. But if you prefer extra security, you can also:

  • Upload the file via your ticket in the Clientarea, or

  • Send the file in an encrypted ZIP to verifydocuments@voyced.eu
→ Include your ticket number, company name on the account and the service it relates too
→ Send the ZIP password in a separate message or through your ticket

(A clear smartphone photo is perfectly fine if you don’t have access to a scanner.)

Concerned About Privacy?

We take security seriously. Your ID is used only to verify your request and is reviewed only by our secure internal team. We follow UK government identity check guidelines to protect you and your business.

When Will We Ask for This?

Usually only in two situations:

  1. When you first sign up (as required by KYC/KYB regulations)

  2. When you request a major change, such as cancelling a number or closing your account

We do this to protect your services from being altered or cancelled by someone else, even a former employee or competitor.

* Accepted Proof of Identity Includes:

  • Current signed passport

  • National ID card (EEA)

  • Photocard driver’s licence

  • Full old-style UK driving licence (UK)

  • Home Office residence permit (UK)

  • Other types of ID may be accepted but may take longer to verify.
