How does it all work with a Standard DID?

A Standard DID (Direct Inward Dialing number or DDI - Direct Dialling In) is a business-grade telephone number that lets you receive and make calls via the Voyced Hosted IPPBX.

It’s ideal for regular business use where:

  • You do not expect a huge number of simultaneous inbound calls

  • You want control over how calls are routed

  • You may later expand with more inbound or outbound capacity

Inbound Calling – What's included?

Each Standard DID comes with 1 included inbound track.
This means one person can call you at a time on that number.

If you expect more than one person calling at once, you can add:

  • Upgrade inbound tracks - cheaply add an extra simultaneous call

  • Expansion inbound tracks – expand even futher for larger setups (up to 10, 20, or more)

See the green and blue arrows on the left side of the image, they show the different levels of inbound track expansion.

Outbound Calling – What’s included?

As you can see in the top section of the image, 1 outbound track is already included with each Standard DID (shown by the black arrow and number “1”).
You can also cheaply add extra outbound tracks if needed (see the orange arrows above the IPPBX).

So, your Standard DID lets you:

  • Make 1 outbound call at a time by default

  • Add more outbound tracks (SIP Trunk or Voyced Internal DIDs) if multiple people need to call at once

This makes it flexible and scalable, perfect for small to mid-sized teams.

What devices and systems can I connect?

Your number can connect to:

  • IP phones

  • Softphones (smartphones, tablets, desktops)

  • Traditional phones with a VoIP ATA

  • Your own PBX or IPPBX

  • Conferencing tools

All communication flows securely through the Voyced Hosted IPPBX, ensuring reliability and control.
