What is a TollFree or Freephone DID/telephone number?
A toll-free telephone number or freephone number is a telephone number that is billed for all arriving calls instead of incurring charges to the originating telephone subscriber i.e. the 'owner' of the number instead of the person calling the number.
For the calling party, a call to a toll-free number from a landline is free of charge.
Take note:
Legislation in most countries will not allow you to make calls showing a TollFree number as the Caller ID!
In case you need to make Outbound calls as well we would advise adding a Standard DID in that same country to the mix which you would use for making calls whilst the calls come in on the TollFree number.
