What is a CC DID? And what is the difference between the standard and CC DIDs?

CC DIDs (Call Centre DIDs) are special types of telephone numbers designed for high-volume inbound calling. These are ideal for businesses like call centres, support desks, or large-scale campaigns, where more than a few callers might be dialling in at the same time.

CC DIDs vs Standard DIDs – What’s different?

More incoming call capacity by default

  • A Standard DID comes with 1 inbound call track.

  • A CC DID includes 4 inbound call tracks by default, that’s four people able to call in at the same time, per number.

Bigger, better upgrade options

  • Standard DIDs can be upgraded to 2 inbound tracks.

  • CC DIDs can jump straight to 8–10 inbound tracks (depending on the country or number type).

Larger expansions possible (and cheaper)

  • You can expand a CC DID with inbound tracks in blocks of 10, up to 50 inbound tracks total by default.

  • Need more than 50? Just contact us, we’re happy to help set up a custom solution.

A few common questions

Can I share extra inbound tracks across multiple DIDs?

No, each DID has its own dedicated tracks, set at the operator level. They cannot be shared between numbers.

Can I convert my current standard DID into a CC DID?

Not at the moment. They’re two separate product types, and technically, CC DIDs do not support port-ins either. We’re working on it, but for now, this is not possible.

Can I port my existing number into Voyced as a CC DID?

Unfortunately, no. CC DIDs must be provisioned directly as such and can’t be ported in.
