Is it possible to use Voyced on a SmartPhone?

Yes, absolutely.

You can use your Voyced VoIP service on any smartphone with the help of a SIP-compliant SoftPhone app.

This gives you full access to your VoIP account from anywhere, whether you're in the office, working remotely, or travelling.

How does it work?

Voyced is fully SIP-compliant, which means you can connect to our Hosted IPPBX using any standard SIP app, also known as a SoftPhone.

A SoftPhone is simply an app that acts like a VoIP phone on your mobile. Once connected, you can:

  • Make and receive calls using your Voyced number

  • Use call features like transfer, hold, and voicemail

  • Appear as if you’re calling from your business line, not your mobile number

  • Work from anywhere with a stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data)

What do you need?

  1. A smartphone (Android or iOS)

  2. A SIP-compatible SoftPhone app

  3. Your SIP credentials from Voyced (username, password, server address)

Once the app is installed, just enter your SIP account details, and you're ready to go.

Recommended apps

There are many SoftPhone apps available, both free and paid.
Some popular options include:

  • Groundwire (iOS – paid, advanced features)
  • Zoiper (iOS/Android)
  • Linphone (iOS/Android)

We recommend trying a few to see which interface and features suit you best.

Keep in mind:

  • For the best experience, use a stable internet connection

  • Some mobile networks may block or restrict SIP, using a VPN may help in those cases

  • Make sure background data and battery optimisation settings allow the app to stay connected

  • If you miss calls, check if the app is being put to sleep by your phone’s power-saving settings
(in which case you probably need to Pro or paid version of said app, with 'push' enabled)
