Dear Customer,
We would like you to know about the following unplanned outage.
Service Affected: Our website and Clientarea
Impact: Minor/major Impact
Start Date: Sunday, 30th of August 2020, 12:39 AM (GMT)
End Date: Sunday, 30th of August 2020, 03:30 AM (GMT)
Status Report: Service Status
Description:
This morning our warning systems indicated that certain servers, services and/or clusters were having connectivity issues.
Upon investigation, our technicians, together with the technicians of our Hosting partner, found that it wasn't anything in our soft- or hardware nor the data centres we use. It quickly became apparent that it was all related to one of the Internet Carriers. It turned out to be one of the largest tier 1 carriers, CenturyLink, that was coping with a global outage that affected ever so many websites and services today.
Some servers/services only had limited accessibility because not (all) data would reach them.
The problem is now solved by the carrier so the availability of our data centres and your server en websites are back to their normal level.
Note that our email support and telephony was uninterrupted and worked as expected at all times.
All Hosted IPPBX environments were unaffected by this and all VoIP traffic continued to receive and terminate all calls as expected.
We apologise for the inconvenience that this may cause and if there are any questions, please contact our technical support team.
Kindest Regards
Support team
